The hat is insect repellent.

It has a Velcro patch on the top and easily removed pocket for your small utilities on the back.

The pocket is fixed with Velcro, so if it's not needed, the Velcro can be used for your patches. 

The Base of the hat is double fabric stitched which gives more insulation to the warm sun rays.
